Buying as a public-sector organisation
Many heat network operators and suppliers in Great Britain are councils, housing associations and their companies. We are set up for how you buy.
Ordering and payment
- Purchase orders welcome. Send a PO and we invoice against it, quoting your PO number, to your accounts-payable address.
- 30-day payment terms on a standard VAT invoice. No card or online payment is required (card payment is available if you prefer it).
- Below most tender thresholds. Our products are fixed-price — see products and pricing — which typically fits direct-award limits for low-value purchases; your procurement team will confirm what applies to you.
- E-invoicing portals. If your authority requires invoices through a portal, we submit there.
Supplier onboarding
We keep a supplier pack ready so onboarding doesn't hold up the work. On request:
- company details, registration number, VAT number and bank details on letterhead
- professional indemnity and public liability insurance certificates
- data protection statement, ICO registration number, and a data processing agreement covering intake data
- information security statement (UK/EU hosting only; we never hold card data)
- modern slavery, equality and diversity, environmental, and health and safety statements
- completed responses to standard supplier questionnaires
Why this matters for you in particular
The conditions treat public-sector bodies differently in places — local authorities and registered providers of social housing are outside the financial-resilience conditions (A12–A14) except the operator's supplier-failure duty, and supply under a lease or tenancy changes how the billing and contract-change conditions bite. Our packs are assembled by role and sector variant, so a landlord-supplier pack reflects your actual duties rather than a generic ESCo's — see which conditions apply to whom.
